Las especificaciones se definen en el folleto 114 de la DWA. Los m\u00f3dulos del intercambiador de calor no se integran en el hormig\u00f3n, sino que se fijan con los denominados \u00abretenedores\u00bb. Los retenedores son abrazaderas que se fijan en la pared del alcantarillado mediante un anclaje de expansi\u00f3n HKD. La profundidad m\u00e1xima de perforaci\u00f3n es de 40 mm, el di\u00e1metro del agujero es de 12 mm. La uni\u00f3n atornillada se realiza al ras de la superficie con tornillos avellanados (DIN 7991 M10x25). Todos los elementos de fijaci\u00f3n est\u00e1n fabricados con material de calidad 1.4404 para evitar su interacci\u00f3n. Los elementos y las piezas de conexi\u00f3n est\u00e1n protegidos contra la suciedad y los da\u00f1os mediante placas deflectoras. Estas placas deflectoras, as\u00ed como el revestimiento de los conductos de avance y retorno, tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1n fabricados con el material 1.4404. Las zonas de transici\u00f3n del fondo del alcantarillado al primer y del \u00faltimo elemento est\u00e1 aseguradas por rampas para evitar que el material grueso se atasque.
