Solo hay que tener en cuenta la electricidad necesaria de la bomba de calor en t\u00e9rminos de CO2. En el caso de los barrios, esta electricidad se produce en gran medida in situ de forma renovable, por lo que no se emite CO2. Teniendo en cuenta que el mix el\u00e9ctrico general tambi\u00e9n es cada d\u00eda m\u00e1s ecol\u00f3gico, la energ\u00eda procedente de las aguas residuales estar\u00e1 completamente libre de CO2 a medio plazo, incluso con un mix el\u00e9ctrico convencional.
