By 2030, 1 TWh\/a of heat from wastewater is to be activated. By 2045, a total of 4 TWh\/a should then contribute to the heat transition in North Rhine-Westphalia. In order to achieve the target, two ongoing working groups are defining the framework conditions and rules for the market ramp-up. This target represents a real milestone for heat recovery from wastewater.     <\/p>\n\n<p>Stephan von Bothmer, COO of UHRIG Energie: \u2018Heat from wastewater is still relatively unknown. This initiative will help us a lot in generating awareness for this fantastic technology. The potential is particularly great in NRW. We are therefore really hoping for a dynamic development.
