Certains pr\u00e9l\u00e8vent une taxe d\u2019utilisation pour couvrir leurs faibles frais administratifs. Ces frais incitent \u00e9galement les exploitants de r\u00e9seaux d\u2019assainissement \u00e0 s\u2019int\u00e9resser \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie contenue dans les eaux us\u00e9es ou au potentiel \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique de leur propre r\u00e9seau. Certains exploitants ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 identifi\u00e9 leur potentiel sur des cartographies \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques et l\u2019ont rendu accessible en ligne. Il est ainsi possible de v\u00e9rifier en quelques secondes pour n\u2019importe quel site si l\u2019\u00e9nergie issue des eaux us\u00e9es constitue une option d\u2019approvisionnement.&nbsp;<br>L\u2019une des r\u00e9serves fr\u00e9quentes des exploitants de r\u00e9seaux d\u2019assainissement concerne le refroidissement des eaux us\u00e9es par pr\u00e9l\u00e8vement d\u2019\u00e9nergie. Il est exact que l\u2019\u00e9nergie thermique est extraite des eaux us\u00e9es lors de l\u2019utilisation de la chaleur contenue dans ces derni\u00e8res. Les eaux us\u00e9es sont ainsi refroidies. Mais cette \u00e9nergie se r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e8re rapidement gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019afflux de nouvelles eaux us\u00e9es et \u00e0 l\u2019absorption de la chaleur ambiante par la canalisation. Il s&rsquo;ensuit que, pour les stations d&rsquo;\u00e9puration, qui supposent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement une temp\u00e9rature minimale des eaux us\u00e9es, ce qui est d\u00e9terminant, c&rsquo;est la quantit\u00e9 de chaleur extraite des eaux us\u00e9es par la derni\u00e8re installation avant la station d&rsquo;\u00e9puration et la distance qui la s\u00e9pare de celle-ci. Le pr\u00e9l\u00e8vement d\u2019\u00e9nergie dans le r\u00e9seau en amont n\u2019est pas pertinent pour les stations d\u2019\u00e9puration.
