La surface est structur\u00e9e de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 obtenir la plus grande capacit\u00e9 d\u2019extraction d\u2019\u00e9nergie possible par m\u00e8tre carr\u00e9 et \u00e0 limiter les d\u00e9p\u00f4ts de salet\u00e9s. La formation d\u2019une peau de tamis (biofilm), qui est in\u00e9vitable dans une certaine mesure, est prise en compte lors de la conception des installations. La pompe \u00e0 chaleur permet ensuite de rendre l\u2019\u00e9nergie des eaux us\u00e9es utilisable avec une faible consommation d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9.
