29.11.2024: Energy from wastewater for Kirchheim Teck – again ;-)

The first order for Kirchheim Teck – for the Badwiesen 2030 project – had only just arrived when the next order came in. This time, heat from wastewater will be utilised at the Unterer Mühlbach. We will install the system in a DN 1400 sewer. This order marks the realisation of our 130th wastewater heat project.

Stephan von Bothmer, COO at UHRIG Energie: ‘There is nothing better than real projects. And it is important for us to show that the use of waste water heat is not just an idea on paper, but a technology that has been tried and tested and is in use. I think that 130 successfully completed projects are a good testament to this. Added to that, the oldest plants have been in operation for 15 years. What more could you want? We just need to raise awareness of energy from wastewater and convince sewer network operators that they should make their infrastructure available for the heating transition – because there are no negative effects on the operation of the sewer networks.’
