As part of the Municipal Heating Plan, the town of Nagold is planning to develop an innovative, climate-neutral energy network called ‘Nagold City Centre’.
The Badepark plays a central role in this. The key points are:
• Local heating network: The Badepark is to serve as an ‘anchor customer’ and a potential site for the energy centre. The plan is to install a heat pipeline connecting the Badepark, a nearby care home for the elderly and two industrial companies.
As part of its contribution to the planned local heating network, UHRIG Energie has installed 15 Therm-Liner modules (type C), providing 139 kW of thermal output upstream of the heat pump.
For the installation, we were able to use a culvert that our sister company, UHRIG Tiefbau GmbH, had built under the River Nagold as part of a larger infrastructure project, including the wastewater heat exchanger in the bypass system.
• River water heating from the ‘Nagold’: The River Nagold flows right past the water park. Feasibility studies indicate enormous potential here for a river water heat pump, and planning for this is already underway.
